7 cách viết lại một câu mang cùng ý nghĩa

Chúng ta sẽ thực hành với câu đơn sau:

1. Watching TV too much affects negatively people’s poorer health.
2. Listening to music develops people’s imagination

Cách 1: Đảo kết quả làm chủ ngữ

1. First, people’s poorer health is a negative effect of watching television
2. First, people’s imagination development is a positive effect of listening to music

Cách 2: Chủ ngữ là đối tượng

1. Television watchers, first, can suffer health problems
2. Music listeners, first, can develop their imagination

Cách 3: Chủ ngữ giả (dạng bị động)

1. It is, first, believed that watching television too much has a negative effect on people’s health
2. It is, first, thought that listening to music is to develop people’s imagination

Cách 4: Chủ ngữ là một cụm danh từ đệm

1. This hobby, first, can have a negative effect on people’s health
2. First, this hobby can have a positive effect on people’s imagination

Cách 5: Chủ ngữ là từ chỉ đường

1. The first disadvantage of watching television is to affect people’s health
2. The first advantage of listening to music is to develop people’s imagination

Cách 6: Câu chính phụ

1. When people watch television too much, their health can be negatively affected

= Because people watch television too much, their health can be negatively affected

1. If people listen to music, they can develop their imagination

Cách 7: Câu đẳng lập

1. People watch television too much, and therefore, their health may be negatively affected
2. People listen to music, and therefore, they can develop their imagination

Cách sử dụng cách viết 7 câu cùng một ý nghĩa

Bạn có đang nghĩ rằng 7 dạng câu là quá nhiều để viết 250 từ của bài essay. Thực ra là không quá nhiều đâu nhé. Các cách viết lại này có thể được sử dụng trong các tình huống sau:

• Câu 1 introduction để giới thiệu topic của bài
• Câu topic sentence của các đoạn thân bài
• Câu đưa ra ví dụ trong trường hợp “bí từ”
• Câu conclusion diễn đạt lại câu trả lời ở phần mở bài

THAM KHẢO 

1. Thay bằng từ đồng nghĩa (synonyms)

Các bạn cố gắng thay các từ trong câu bằng các từ đồng nghĩa với chúng để tạo nên một câu paraphrase.

Ví dụ:

Celebrities are more famous for their glamour and wealth than for their achievements.

= Celebrities are known for their glamourous lifestyles rather than for the work they do.

2. Chuyển từ dạng bị động sang chủ động hoặc ngược lại.

Ví dụ:

Foreign visitors should pay more than local visitors for cultural and historical attractions.

= Tourists from overseas should be charged more than local residents to visit important sites and monuments.

3. Chuyển đổi các dạng từ (ví dụ chuyển danh từ thành động từ, tính từ thành trạng từ…)

Ví dụ:

Governments in developing countries can best improve people’s quality of life by introducing new technology.  

= The introduction of new technology can be the best way to improve the quality of life of people in developing nations.

4. Sử dụng chủ ngữ giả (it)

Ví dụ:

Animal experiments should be banned because causing animals to suffer is morally wrong.

= It is morally wrong to conduct animal experimentation.

Cách cuối cùng là PRACTICE. Các bạn cứ luyện tập paraphrase cho khoảng 15 câu xong sẽ thấy kĩ năng này không còn quá khó nữa đâu
